Varian manufactures Industrial X-ray tubes for applications in Non Destructive Testing (NDT), X-ray Inspection and X-ray Baggage Inspection and Thickness Gauging.

Varian's NDT product line consists of a broad range of glass and ceramic X-ray tubes providing a variety of target angles, focal spots, and power capabilities. For inspection applications that require different imaging parameters, Varian offers dual and single focus X-ray tubes with small focal spots for high-resolution imaging. In addition, Varian offers X-ray tubes with Beryllium (Be) windows for low inherent filtration.

VARIAN's NDI Range includes 160kV and 225kV metal ceramic tubes specifically designed for Non-Destructive Imaging Applications.

These tubes have a water cooled stationary anode metal ceramic X-ray source capable of generating high-energy X-rays (320W - 1600 W) with various focal spots from 0.4 to 5.5 mm. All tubes utilise a Tungsten target, with a Beryllium output window.

VARIAN's NDI 320kV and 350kV tubes have an oil cooled stationary anode metal ceramic X-ray source capable of generating high-energy X-rays (320W - 1600 W) with various focal spots from 0.4 to 5.5 mm. All tubes utilise a Tungsten target, with a Beryllium output window.

VARIAN's NDI 450kV tubes also use oil cooled stationary anode metal ceramic X-ray source. both the NDI 451 and 452 tubes are high power (900W / 4500) dual focus (2.5mm / 5.5mm)tubes. As with all VARIANS's NDI tubes, these tubes are specifically designed for Non-Destructive Imaging Applications.
