Image quality par excellence and custom-tailored performance

Thales's image intensifiers are available from 6" to 16" format. They deliver high quality images in terms of DQE, resolution, contrast and conversion factors. These image intensifiers are designed to be used for quality inspection of metallic parts and PC boards.

More than 150,000 X-ray imaging systems in the world (mobile units, R&F or urology tables, vascular systems, etc) are equipped with Thales X-ray image intensifiers.

Thales Electron Devices HP Family of X-Ray Image Intensifiers includes sizes of 6", 7", 9" and 12". The HP X-Ray Image Intensifiers (XRII) feature the latest developments in image intensifier technology:

• advanced input screen, for high DQE, high resolution and lower X-ray exposure; and
• ultra compact output phosphor screen, for unrivaled resolution, low structural noise, and a high conversion factor.

The HP Family sets the standard in image quality with:

• enhanced diagnostics capability;
• pulse operating capability; and
• wide dynamic operating range.

Various housings, mountings and paintings are also available on option. The power supplies are microprocessor-controlled and comply with EMC standards. HP products are manufactured at an ISO 9001 and EN 46001 registered production site.

Thales Electron Devices has launched a range of X-Ray Image Intensifiers known as the QX family – sizes include 6", 9", 12", 14" and 16".

QX generation tubes (which now replace HX generation) offer improved overall performance. Both the Photocathode and scintillator are slightly modified for improved resolution. However, the largest difference concerns the output window – they are thicker to improve contrast and typically 5mm larger in diameter (so TH9428HP (20 mm) compares with TH9438QX with 25 mm diameter) to be able to make best use of the higher resolution.
