IMPS III X-Ray Control Module

The IMPS III X-Ray Control Module provides full software control of a wide variety of X-Ray sources from micro-focus systems, through conventional industrial x-ray systems to linear accelerators. Specific hardware interfaces supported by this control include, but not limited to:

• Metris (formerly X-Tek Systems) SR3 Microfocus X-Ray Controller
• Gulmay MP1 & CPRS232 X-Ray Controllers
• Balteau RC6 X-Ray Controller
• Philips MGC40 X-Ray Controller
• Golden XR 150 and XR3 X-Ray Sources (Remote Trigger)
• Varian (M9, M15, K9, & K15) Linatron 'Remote' X-Ray Controller

Common functionality includes X-Ray On /Off, Demand and kV and mA. Typical indicators include X-Ray Status (off, pre-warn, and on) Warmup, Auto Watt, Focus (Broad / Fine), Program Mode, and Actual kV and mA. Each x-ray interface has its own dedicated engineering setup window, providing access to all the engineering controls provided by the specific system.

Triggering of pulsed X-Ray systems, such as the Golden systems can be carefully controlled to synchronise with acquisition from x-ray detectors, and to prevent normal duty cycles being exceeded. Such control is particularly important when using linear accelerators in conjunction with real time x-ray detectors. The IMPS III X-Ray Control Module ensures reliable and efficient usage of X-Ray on time.
