Shaw Inspection Systems supply a range of 80 Micron Linear Detector Arrays (LDAs) and manufacture a range of 200, 400, and 800 Micron LDAs. The LDA's are typically used for in line production inspection, or 2D Computed Tomography. Shaw provide a variety of custom X-Ray solutions for both applications.
80 Micron Arrays
Shaw Inspection Systems supply a range of 80 Micron Linear Detector Arrays. These detectors have been specifically developed for use for digital x-ray inspection. A robust construction for operations from 20 kV up to 450 kV guarantees a long life time and resistance against mechanical strain. The slit collimators of the cameras make them highly insensitive to scattered rays. The high dynamic range (12 bit A/D conversion) supplies x-ray images with up to 4096 greylevels.
Four separate shielding options are available, for use up to 160, 225, 320, and 450kV. The LDA comes in 5 standard lengths with effective sensor lengths of 79, 157, 314, 471, and 628mm, providing image widths of 926, 1854, 3710, 5566 and 7422 pixels. Longer custom lengths are available on request.
200, 400, 800 Micron Arrays
Shaw Inspection Systems manufacture a range of XV-LDA Linear Detector Arrays, with resolutions of 200, 400, and 800 microns for use from 20kV to 450kV. These detectors have been specifically developed for use for digital x-ray inspection.
The arrays are based on photodiode modules which are nominally 51.5mm long, allowing detector lengths of multiples of 51.5mm from 51.5mm to a maximum of 1030mm (20 modules). Standard lengths are 103, 154.5, 309, 463.5, 618, 824 and 1040mm, although other lengths are available on request. Standard shielding options are available for use up to 225, 320, and 450kV.
The arrays can operate on an internal trigger, with line exposure times from 1ms to 4000ms, Line data is digitised at 16-bit resolution, and communicated with the host computer using Ethernet 10/100.
