This wood sample was imaged in a standard Shaw Inspection Systems CT cabinet system, configured for high resolution 2D CT. The cabinet was fitted with a 350kV industrial mini-focus x-ray tube and a Linear Detector Array (LDA). The sample was manouvered using a standard precision 5-axis manipulator.
The wood sample was imaged at a Magnification of 1.23, with a pixel (and voxel) resolution of 0.068mm. The X-Ray parameters were 100kV, 4mA, with an exposure time of 40ms per line or per projection. A total 3125 projection angles were used to generate the 2D CT slices. The system was calibrated against water to produce calibrated density maps. One example of which (for Slice 003) is included in this library.
